Great advertising begins with a strong foundation based on discovering your product’s unique selling proposition (USP), knowing your competition’s strengths, and positioning your product to capitalize on their weaknesses. Through discovery, CVA will learn your business to define your USP, and then do competitive research on your competitors’ products and media spending, and the behavior of your target audience through research, both qualitative and quantitative. We’ll look at industry trends and make sure that you are positioned to meet the present and future needs of the end-user. And we’ll make sure that your marketing plan complements and supports your Business Plan. Then CVA will develop a creative strategy that is on target, on budget and effective in building your brand.

ODC

Since 2003, CVA has been partners with the Odessa Development Corporation and the Economic Development Department of the Odessa Chamber of Commerce in growing the local economy by enticing new, diverse businesses to come to Odessa, and by encouraging local business owners to expand and grow their existing operations. These very different audiences required a two-prong strategy that was customized with CVA’s help to develop different creative strategies and tactics that zeroed in on these well-defined target audiences.

Mission
Putting in the Work

New businesses are educated about the financial incentives they can receive by moving to Odessa, in addition to the skilled workforce that populates the market, the transportation benefits, and the quality of life that awaits their employees in West Texas. Through targeted trade publication marketing, trade show advertising and attendance, and direct mail correspondence with national site selectors, Odessa has attracted important new businesses that diversify the local economy such as Family Dollar and Nacero.

Local business owners have also benefited from ODC's marketing efforts to educate company management on the ways they can take advantage of financial and site selection services through the Odessa Development Corporation.  In order to reach these area business owners, CVA developed a media strategy utilizing high profile sporting event advertising supported by outdoor billboards, newspaper and social/digital media posts that focused on how to get help from ODC.

Both of these strategic efforts have paid off handsomely, as these results show. And all of the marketing through CVA Advertising was under budget.

Rosas-Cafe

Rosa’s Cafe & Tortilla Factory has been a staple for Texas Mexican food lovers for over 40 years.  A quick-casual Mexican food restaurant chain serving Texas and eastern New Mexico, Rosa’s has grown by specializing in mesquite-grilled fajitas, fresh-made tortillas and delicious Mexican dishes made with the finest ingredients. And since 1995, CVA has helped set a strategy for growth and success for Rosa’s Cafe.

From its base in West Texas, the company grew into larger metropolitan markets (Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin) and college towns in Central Texas to eventually operate in over 50 locations in 35 cities.

The company’s ROI on advertising expenditures has made Rosa’s a truly identifiable brand that breaks sales records consistently year after year. When the company decided to expand their day hours to include breakfast at most of its locations, CVA created high quality point-of-purchase materials, television commercials, outdoor billboards and more to build awareness for this new day-part.

Our mission with MCHS was working with the marketing department to achieve goals of community brand awareness, increasing local service line volume, and to create a digital strategy that increased impressions.

We created a strategic marketing plan that placed emphasis on service line campaigns through a percentage, weighted structure. This structure allowed CVA to balance between the most important growth goals for MCHS including an extra emphasis on our Spanish campaign.

The Payoff

The results of working with MCHS have included increasing a market share of over a million annual impressions through traditional and non tradional marketing. We have increased brand awareness and recognition through the “Your One Source for Health” campaign. We have expanded our digital footprint that was non-existent before with over 600,000 impressions on a quarterly basis. We have been able to spotlight physicians with our Ask a Doc and Behind the stethoscope campaign. We have worked with the MCHS team to identify opportunities that continue to lead to improvement and brand awareness.
